A 1964 compilation album with songs about cruisin' those cars and surfin' the waves!
Done by Modern Sound Records, it was more for a test record I believe. It is advertised as a compatible record, it may be played in Mono sound or Stereo, something they specialized in. They were located in and this album was done in Nashville, Tennessee.
Classic early 60s 'California Look' Art work on the cover to this!

    Thank You,
    Thomas.

Wow, this certainly hits home as I am a California girl who grew up on the beach...
Surfing? Yes, of course. ( my brother kept his board in his room, refused to leave it in the garage). One song on here, ”Ride the Wild Surf” was a movie ( 1964) I loved! (Fabien..swoon!)
And “Sidewalk Surfing” was another great one! By Jan & Dean.. thanks again Thomas...so many wonderful memories have come flooding back with this post!!

Speaking of Surfer songs, I was just in my kitchen feeding my fat cat, and the song “SURFER JOE” came to mind. I haven’t heard that in decades, why did I think of it? You Thomas. This record posting brought back so many memories. The Safaris were a favorite in my youth. WIPEOUT is one, if not THE one, most famous surfing song of all time. The “crack” at the beginning was done with a piece of plywood, splitting it over the microphone, then came the laugh, then WIPEOUT!
