Hi everyone,
The right hand pink spatter is a well known Welz shape and decor.
The smaller one I thought would be Welz but I wasn't able to trace another to verify it.
It's body colour is peach with a pattern of leaves (thistle leaves?) with a hint of iridescence, gathered around the middle, and a short thick stem on uranium green feet and leaves.
Quite small at 16cm tall.
The Welz is 18cm.
Great Life Lights!! I agree that the right hand example is by Welz. I also am unable to confirm or deny a Welz attribution for the other example. Time will tell!!! Great example though.....
I particularly love the peach one. The fact that it's a little shorter than most, at 16 cm., shouldn't count against it becoming Welz one day. There's a 16cm. life light in the Harlequin Honeycomb décor. Great finds!
Thank you Craig. Mysteries are what make collecting such fun. I suspect one day it'll be solved (if anyone can do it you can :)
Hi Peggy, thank you. These are my first thistle style life lights. My favs the little peach one too. It has a nice stylised shape with the leaves curving round. Hopefully one day another will turn up in a recognised decor to pin an ID on it.
