Here is an 8 1-2"H x 5 1-4"W ruby red glass horse that was originally a 50s Heisey design, the backward facing filly reissued in '01 by Mosser Glass (see imprint M 01 on lower leg)

He's gorgeous! I adore his lovely strong colour and his pose is so great- you can imagine him in a paddock springing about...I think foals can be such funny looking creatures- they kinda have a huge head and really long legs and a tiny body, it's funny how out of proportion they can look! :P

Lauren yes I can see this horse just being born, rising up on his spindly legs! Maybe it also kinda explains its backward pose, as baby horses look around so lost until they learn to stand. Thank you for your wonderful insight & great compliments
