It was very hard to photograph these pieces. There are so many facets in the stones, that the pictures look blurry. I tried....
Finally found the faceted earrings to go with this brooch and bracelet! Still hunting down the necklace which is identical to the bracelet. Of all the Kramer Alexandrite pieces I have acquired so far, this set is my favorite. ( I agree, Maureen) The simplicity of the tennis bracelet with the faceted stones is “just enough”. And I like the size of the earrings, very dainty and small...Circa 1950’s

Hi Bill, been thinking about you, thanks for dropping by.
      “ guys last name”, Ha!
Alexandrite is a very rare stone, so to have it as your birthstone is so cool. And to answer your question, that is the name of the “stone”.
“Real” Alexandrite changes from green in natural light to reddish in artificial light.
“Faux” Alexandrite ( man-made) changes from blue in natural light to lavender/ lilac in artificial light. ( been reading up on it, I’m no expert)
How’s the weather up North?... been very cold down here on the central coast. Been hiking with my Daughter...perfect weather for it.

Ah thanks did not look like the stone had one once got it for graduating high school yeah I know hard to believe lol but for some reason my sister figured it was hers along with most of my childhood stuff we dont talk grrrr
Weather has been great matter of fact too great we need some rain but nice for working outdoors my fruit trees are starting to bud that is way to early
Where does your daughter live anywhere close need to take a ride

Lovely Alexandrite Kramer, Eileen. Putting sets together — so much fun, but also sometimes frustrating. Smiles.

      You’re back!
Missed you and your lovely posts of Sherman!
Still keeping my eye out for you for “you know what”...
And yes, just when I thought all I need is the necklace to finish this set, I find Kramer made ANOTHER with double rows identical to this one. It’s never going to end....

Thanks Ken for the great compliment on my long lost earrings...and my photography (?) You have always been in my corner, and I so appreciate your support. And glad to see you have come over to the D & E side, though you will always be are our Top Trifari Collector!

      Mary, simple and classic, yes!

Phil, it is delicate, the facets are so fine, I suppose less is more in this case, no?
Thanks so much for your support of my Kramer, which I love, but we both know it doesn’t come close to Sherman’s work with Alexandrite. Still lovely in it’s own way....

Always good to hear from you Bill, and it’s ok not to “know squat” about jewelry. Ha!

Leanne, it is fun. Like I said, when I started I thought there were about half a dozen sets from Kramer. Boy, was I wrong. They made many many designs using the faux alexandrite, so I have my work cut out for me. Also, so hard to find pieces in pristine condition, which the majority of us feel is a huge element in our collections. Who wants beat-up jewelry? Not I...

And thank you for all the loves dears on my Kramer earrings!

Eileen — Yes, sometimes our collections take unexpected turns. These are beautiful. Pristine condition pieces do make my heart smile ... like yours. Thanks for looking for, well, you know. Still don’t know how to respectfully ever add those here, though wonderful to have.
