      Hello there-
This is a sheaffer ladies pen, a later model. Also I completely agree with you in terms of keeping the pens in the family, my Grandfather collected for over 50 years, my father has been collecting for about 15 years and I have been collecting for about 3 years. It really is nice to collect these pens, it can show you how things were at the time they were released. The man I mentioned to you in Monrovia is probably one of the best experts in the world on pens, his father owned a Sheaffer pen shop many years ago, his collection is fabulous and he would love to teach you.
      - Happy pen collecting =]

      Gabriel,
Once again thanks so much for your help. I will look up the man in Monrovia next year when my husband and I return. We live in New Zealand, but come to CA every year for a few months. This is my husband's family home and we take care of the property. I have already found these pens and their story really interesting, and tells me much about my grumpy old father-in-law who loved nice pens, opera and disliked people!
      Pam
