This Weir pottery canning crock is about 7.75" high x 4" in diameter. I've had this for years, thrift shop find. I was surprised that I did not find one on CW. They are pretty common in the U.S.

I’ve never seen one. This is so cool. To imagine canning with crocks! My Mother used to can her own pickles,( from cucumbers from her garden..amazing woman) and she used huge 2-3 gallon crocks to “pickle”. No, I don’t have any of them :(
But I do have an old crock that came from the bottom of the ocean, caught in a drag net many, many fathoms down!
Been in the family since early 60’s. Must of fallen overboard, ha!

@Ms.CrystalShip - Thanks! Too bad your mother's crocks were not preserved! Wow, there must be an interesting story behind the crock you do have!

Thanks for loving "The Weir" officialfuel, Ms.CrystalShip, iggy and Blammoammo!

Thanks again Eileen! I keep this on a table right next to the doorway between my kitchen and dining room and often pick it up for a minute as I go between the rooms.
