I found this at a yard sale quite a few years ago. It was covered with dust and I could barely see what was on it. I took a chance for $8.00, brought it home and cleaned it up. The paper label is not politically correct, it has a white man scrubbing a black man`s face so it is lighter on one side. Below the men it says, "Beat That If You Can". The box is 22" x 15" and 9" deep. It still has the original leather hinges and for some reason it opens on the bottom. Thanks for lookin! Rob
Sort of indirectly goes with the 2020 election campaigns..In the day, some politicians would actually stand on soap boxes to make a speech.
Thomas.

What a great find, I just this vintage sign and all antique and vintage signs.
Thank you Cokeman for the thumbs up!
Amazing the paper “covering” has lasted through the years, all 130+ of them! This is definitely a piece of history. Lautz Brothers did lots of advertising, there are cards with almost the same image, but instead of a black child, the child is white and covered with bubbles. I wonder, did they decide that image was “ politically incorrect”, and change it? Doubtful. The calligraphy inside...Jefferson, owner’s name?
Unbelievable yard sale treasure!
Thanks Ms.C for the love it! The Jefferson is a town here in Ohio N.W. of where I live.
