    I love the graphics on this one. A little bummed that someone had used tape to hold it shut though. Best part came when I opened it, I found 4 pages from some sort of ledger, two dated April 1897, July 1897 and August 1897.

      That was some tough thread: carpets, buttons and fishing line....and for use by bachelors. :^)

      Great vintage packaging! Aunt Lydia looks like a real no - nonsense gal, too. Is there any thread remaining? I imagine that it may have been a pure linen thread as this is a sturdy, all purpose thread suitable for all kinds of mending. Love the recommendation for bachelors, too...
