      It’s hard to tell in the pictures, but I think the type embroidery is “punch embroidery”. It’s super easy to do with a special needle that you simply punch into the fabric from the back side, following a pre-printed pattern on the fabric.

      The “Fredrik” name I have seen before...it may have been on craft frames.
      The 12 refers to the length of one side of the frame.

      I first knew if punch embroidery in the 1970s and made a few items.
      There are videos online to demonstrate the technique but basically, it you can push and pull the needle up and down thru the cloth, you can do it.
