This vase is 7" in diameter, clear cased glass with silver flecks over a yellow/cream with a rose blush layer and simulated mother of pearl white glass interior. Ground, unpolished base, partial label. Made by Joetsu Glass under their Kurata Craft Glass line. A lot going on with little vase. $20 including shipping, so I couldn't pass on it. I was the only bidder. This uses up my auction budget for the month of March!

      An absolute beauty.....subtle and charming.
I admire the strength of will to set a budget AND to stick to it!

@sklo42 - Thanks for your kind words. I think it is nice, too! I had thought about going cold turkey with regard to stopping buying from on line auction sites, but decided it is fairly cheap entertainment and I am starting to downsize other parts of my collection, so striking a balance, instead.

Thanks for loving my little Kurata vase fortapache, Watchsearcher, sklo42, Broochman, Kevin, Jenni, MALKEY, Alleycat1 and welzebub!

It is beautiful, high quality glass, and seriously under-rated.
      You got a steal Kevin!

I watched this for two weeks knowing it would be a good investment - glad it went to a good home.

Thanks artfoot! I hope it does well at the yard sale after my death! Of course with global warming it may end up in OZ. I live in an area where, in the past, tornadoes have just skipped over us, but wondering what will happen when we start getting some of these super tornadoes!?

I live in earthquake country. I just don't worry about it, :+) but I wonder about tornado country - maybe you will have an answer. I wonder why people don't build domes (igloos?) instead of boxes?

My house was built in 1883 and hasn't blown away, yet, so either I shouldn't worry about it, or else wonder if my number is up! I also live in the impact area of the New Madrid Fault.... Both sides of my family have lived in the area since before 1811 when the last major quakes happened and stories have been passed down til this day about their experiences. There have been a few minor quakes in the area, but nothing major... At least I don't have to worry about flooding or hurricanes!
