This is another doll my mom had & would love to know anything about him. He has velvet clothing and cap. No marking that I can see. I put him I. The stand but he was not with one. He is about 17 inch long by
About 5 wide.

I am thinking he is a Norah Wellings doll England . He has all her trade marks . Maybe something is missing from him like a accessory. Have to wonder if she traveled the world from her collection ?
She did actually. She never went to normal shopping spots but to places they sold older things.

That explains the dolls from so many different countries . She must have lived a full life :-) And found great treasures on her trips
I am sure this Norah wellings doll just unsure what uniform he is wearing . Her dolls always represented someone or a special event ect . Most common ones found are sailor dolls. Your doll has Epaulettes on his suit and my represent a Military person or a guard ?

I am thinking your doll maybe German made not a Norah . I have seen his face before I just have to figure it out :-)
He has a face that reminds me of a advertising doll

I see your passion and desire to solve the mystery. Some how I to feel like it could be advertising for some reason. The flare on side of pants looks similar to the sailor one of Norah Wellings work.
He reminds me of the Philip Morris cigarette man :-)
