Posting this amazing ring for a friend. Did some research and this most likely is fossilized ivory (walrus tusk, teeth or even mammoth). Found in Alaska, Canada, Russia and Siberia. It's 1-3/8" and weighs 18 grams. Etched markings Kub...? or Ru3...? - can't read the rest of the designer's name. Also marked 3/17/86 Sterling Ivory.

Very nice quality. Not adjustable although looks like it is. Size 7.

This ring reminded me of the pendant I have: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/262539-what-do-you-make-of-this-one#comment-1286487

Keramikos - then your ring might be from Alaska! Thanks for your comment and love.

Gudrun - I looked at your pendant again and I still don't know what you have. Sorry, will keep looking! LOL

Keramikos - yes - Alaska, I think this ring is also from Alaska because of the hand ingraved info.

I'm up for the challenge Mary, could you add another image with just the markings, to my eye the last line looks like CANADA, and the end above that has a BC, which could be British Columbia province on the Pacific Coast. Then again I might be all wet....lol.
