    This gun is very interesting has some numbers on the stock not sure if this is an original mouse or probably could be use for parts etc. any info would be great

      It's a trap door Springfield. Made from 1873-about 1889 in .45-70 cal.. Your's has the mechanism for the ramrod bayonet, which came out in 1880. Condition & missing parts doesn't give it much value.

      Those are regimental ID. G being the company and 52, probably regiment.
