Ironing board that is. Found these at a thrift store this week. I don't know if it comes out in the photo but look at the wire someone put on the cracked piece of wood to hold it together. Wonder how many flour sack dresses were ironed on these?

My goodwill and salvation army have been closed for weeks. The one I go to for some reason has remained open. Thank Goodness!

I have my grandmothers iron board. It’s wood just like these and has a pad on it.

Trey...Could not pass these up....you think about the world that we live in today and everything seems disposable and in the days of those ironing boards you made it work with what you had....appreciate you!

Cokeman1959, I’ve seen old wooden ironing boards used as tables - holding a small lamp or a potted plant or displaying some pretty little antique treasures. They are marvelous!
      Love the post!

Yes you are right about that. My father mentioned children that rode the school bus with him that wore the clothes made from feed sacks.

Thanks Watch searcher and Trey! These ironing boards have made the rounds. I wonder how many winters, summers,Springs and falls they have seen? I wonder how many breakfast dinner and suppers they have smelted like. How many irons were wore out on them? Appreciate yall!
