I`ve had this old pulley laying around for a couple of years and when I saw a table on C.W from Angus100, I had to use mine the same way. With nowhere to go and a couple of beers, I started planing some old pallet boards and threw this together. All of the wood is from shipping pallets. I tore them apart for fire wood, but after running it through the planer I saw that they were too nice to burn! Not sure what I`m gonna do with it, LOL! if I put it in my house it will just become a catch-all!!! Thanks for lookin! Rob

Job well done. Funny what we find to do during this lock down. I got a bunch of old weathered privacy fence I am taking apart. Going to build a well house out front then an out house. Going to be interesting to see how many complaints I get for having an out house in my front yard. I already checked city code and as long as it isn't a permanent fixed structure it is allowed. Once done I will put a trail of nice brown pine cones leading to the door.

Thanks fhrjr2 , LOL! 2 holer??? also, need some corn cobs-t.p. is in demand!!

Not a 2 holer just a solo unit. TP isn't a problem around my house. I have 93 rolls as of this morning. I keep an emergency hurricane supply closet so have a good stash all year. This morning I ventured out while everyone else in town was sleeping and stocked up on gas for my generator. Generator takes both regular gas and LP so I keep stocked up for when the power goes out. Can't be having warm beer during a hot muggy hurricane.

Don't worry fhr. I got it from a good source, (On the net) that this season, all hurricanes will only affect places north of the Mason-Dixon Line. Is TP on the currency exchange ?

bb2 down here TP is rolled white gold. Paper towels are close behind but I only have 32 rolls of those. Both can be ordered through Sam's club but the wait for shipping is weeks not days. I never expected a pandemic but when it happened I was glad I have my hurricane stash.

I can't imagine Men causing a run (intended) on T.P.. LOL. So you're off the TP fairy's list ? Hey, it's Sunday !

Run a belt sander over pallet wood before running it through a jointer or thicknesser. A sander will quickly show up any nails or bits of wire left in the wood before they get a chance to damage a planer blade.

If you worry about metal, woodworking stores or stores that sell lathes sell a hand held metal detector for $9.99. They really do work well. I check wood before putting it it on the lathe. You will find anything from buckshot to old barbed wire fence in wood. If you have a stud finder it will do the same thing. A stud finder is simply an inexpensive metal detector. The thicker the wood the more frequently you need to check it as you work the piece.

Great looking table! You should be able to make a little money with that, if you decide to sell it!
