      Iptools It would be attached to a backing like the Coca Cola Mold I posted then pressed into framed box foundry sand it's very fine!! then Removed leaving the void outline. Same with backside. Bing or Google "Making sand cast bronze sculptures.
      I have some I had recast years ago I will post soon.

      These are all very cool! Not sure of the terminology, though. Are these molds, or master paterns/castings for making molds? Guessing another material was first carved to make the first one and then they became the master patterns/castings used to make subsequent molds?

      kwqd Your right master patterns!!! Been away from the foundry biz since 64 when I was a pattern setter. I forgot the right label!!! Always loved that biz!!! They save the first casting as it is the sharpest one!!! And use it over and over as needed.
