    Could anyone help identify this box, please. It's heavy, 11cm diameter, with a copper coloured outer except for the dragon himself, which is dull silver. The inside and the base are silvered and there is mark of that resembles a letter R or A in a lozenge to the base. Any information would be great. Thanks

      This is a typical Japanese metal export box pre WWII, in the shape of a cherry blossom, and a motif of Buddhist dragons on the top lid. Very nice.

      The mark is unknown to me, and the metal is a copper base with a silvered wash finish. Thanks for posting.
