Thanks Anything! I started out with a 1963 mercury comet 4 door and if you remember Earl Schieb he was famous for saying....I will paint any car for 99.99! He painted it and I rolled like a rock star.
I ABSOLUTELY remember those Earl Schieb commercials Cokeman -- any car painted for $99, whether or not anybody else managed to tape off the windows/chrome/lights first...? <LOLOL>
I did as I said I would and cruised to a Sonic. Then I found an antique mall which was actually open.
And now Cokeman, I'm suddenly rememberizing that my own parents' car when I first came onto Planet Earth was no doubt a very similarish early 1960's Mercury Comet 4dr. It was silverish exterior w/maybe red interior...?

Anything....I remember the man at earls telling my dad they were going to let it bake in the spray booth over night to cure the paint real good. It was black with red interior with 8 track and half moon headlight covers. When I got the car the police came and spoke with my dad and said that it had been used in a bank robbery. I looked that car over trying to find the loot:)
Shareurpassion.....my vette is a 2018 c7 z06. It is supercharged with about 650 horsepower and 650 foot pounds of torgue. I love it and it is the 3rd one I have had. I had an allocation on the new c8 twice and I turned it down. I am thinking when the z06 variant comes out for the c8 that I might be able to pick one up a little cheaper and save myself the hype....don't give up on the sonic:)
I ordered the 2020 C8 in Zeus Bronze just to have a first year mid engine Vette in an odd color. Probably will sell it and purchase a zo6 variant when available - or maybe I'll decided to keep both - all depends.
Hey Hoot60......I saw the Zeus Bronze and liked it. It is definitely a unique color. What color interior? I configured a Rapid Blue with red calipers,red seat belts and red engine cover and the high wing spoiler.
I'm a black interior fan - always have been. Not a black wheel fan so I am getting the silver wheels. I am getting bronze anodized aftermarket wheels to satisfy my taste for a clean look. Storing the originals.
Sounds like a great combination. Please send pictures when it lands:)
