This is part of a collection of several hundred marbles I played
with as a child in the 1950s in Virginia. My parents gave them to
me and I don't know if they were bought in the 50s or were
inherited. We were in German 1952-1954 when I was very small.
Other than Germany or the USA, I don't know where they were
made or how old they are.

Welcome to CW! This is not my “area”. Just visiting, but your marbles reminded me of my Brother’s when we were kids. He had so many, my Mother made marble bags out of material with drawstrings for him to carry them to “tournaments”. I can remember “cat’s eyes”, and “steelies”. Great you have kept them, and thanks for posting. Brought back a childhood memory of my own!
