    Small, antique brooch pin. I believe this is what was called a lace pin as you would wear it on the collar. It looks like silver, but tests at a low level of silver. 1 and 5/8 inches wide and 1 and 1/4" tall.

      So nice to see an antique piece, and a lovely one at that!
      You can always tell when the pin goes past the perimeter of the piece. Clothing back then was worn in layers and the fabric was very sturdy so a longer pin was needed. ( I know you know this, just hints on antique pieces for those who don’t)
