Your chandelier is a late 1920's - early 1930's Art Deco slip shade chandelier. These are really nice, and quite desirable fixtures. They are generally not seen with the original glass shades still in place. Protect that glass with your life.... finding a matching shade if one broke, would be near impossible. Identifying the maker would be difficult, but not impossible. Doing so would not really add to the value of the chandelier at all. More for curiosity's sake than anything else.
If you post an image of the inside of the ceiling cap, and the end of that rod that goes up into it, I might be able to give you some suggestions on how to hang it. My guess is that the inside of the ceiling end of that rod is threaded. Also, there should be a very small set screw on the rim where the rod inserts into the ceiling cap. If it is missing, you will have to locate one, as that holds the ceiling cap up when the fixture is hung. Some of these older pieces can be tricky to figure out a good way to hang them, as the original mountings did not include ceiling boxes, and the original ceiling hardware is generally long gone. These old fixtures were installed at the time that electrical in a home was all knob and tube wiring.
We just installed a different style of Deco Era chandelier in the master bedroom of our 1912 home. We have collected vintage lighting off and on for about 20 years now.

Welzebub....Thank you for the information on the light fixture. I am going to post another set of 4 pictures showing what you asked. I gave 5.00 for the box of fixtures. It has a 3 and a 4 bulb chandelier in it. I have 5 of the glass pieces,Ralph

welzebub, trust me when I say....I will visit that side street junk store frequently:).....The cashier said that she considered them a lamp and sold them to me for 5.00 as lamps were half off that day. Who was I to argue? I have posted 4 new photos.
I still see a lot of buildings finshed in 1927 and I lived in one with the old lights still in them. My friend lived in one very similar across the street by same designer. A lot of them still surprisingly have the old hardware.
PhilD...Thank you for stopping by and looking and loving! I love the old light fixtures and I am on the lookout always. Every crumpled box at the junk store could contain the next treasure. These fixtures and others like them have character and make a statement for sure! Appreciate you!
