I've had this necklace for quite sometime, I've done some research and I think it was designed by Theodor Fahrner around 1900.
Unfortunately it was missing the fitting at the bottom. I asked my local jeweller if he might have something he could use, he put this drop at the bottom, personally I don't like the fitted I think it would be better with a chain and a seed pearl dangling there, unfortunately these are hard to come by.
The pendant is marked for 935 Sterling which for me points to it being German. Its beautifully made with the hand hammered plenished silver and twirls the 2 small amethyst on the chain and the larger amethyst on the pendant.
I wonder what your thoughts are.
Many thanks for looking.
