This pair of Paua Shell and silver earring was a thrift store find in the 99 cent basket, not a bad deal at all, I must say.

I’ve seen many references to Paua shell jewelry and only 1-2 for Paula shell jewelry....are these names of the same abalone shell creations or is Paula Shell a jewelry designer?

If those were mine, I would be wearing them all the time....I love rummaging thru those baskets.
My best find there was a sapphire tennis bracelet that I actually got for 50 cents because it was half-price day.
I had it checked out at a local jewelry store. Found out the sapphires were genuine but stones that I hoped were little diamonds were actually cz and metal was sterling silver with a gold overlay....still, it looks expensive - certainly more than the 50 cent price. :^D
