First I must note if you want 100% authentic Vaseline Glass it is yellow just like Vaseline petroleum jelly and canaries. It was originally called canary glass.
This 5" glass shoe is an advertising piece for S.D. Sollers & Co. who made women's and children's shoes. They were in business from 1870-1883. Duncan & Miller Glass Company started in 1865 until the factory was destroyed in a fire in 1892. The company was restarted in 1900 but that has little to do with this piece as it was made somewhere between 1870-1883 when the shoe company was in business. But Vaseline glass didn't become popular until the 1880s so probably in the later part of that range. Note the color is more pale with older pieces like these as compared to the later pieces made more recently. Dull yellow Vaseline glass is likely to be over 100 years old.
To wrap this up the pattern is called Daisy and Button which is common with Vaseline Glass. Also the is Early American Pattern Glass aka EAPG.

Thank you very much MsCrystalShip. The mold may have survived the fire. I know the company continued after the fire although as part of another company. New vaseline glass is much brighter than the older pieces so that may help. I will post an old vs new next week.
