Can anyone help me with this piece of jewelry? I have no idea what it was or used for. It is probably from the 70's era but not 100% sure, I am lost with this item.

If they were mine, I would have worn them attached near the shoulders of a lovely low-backed evening dress....in my younger, more exciting days, of course.
They would be less dramatic worn in front as “sweater clips” were worn.
It will be interesting to the ideas of others here. :-)
