Newfld commented her technician husband enjoyed the microscope I previously posted. I'd like to dedicate this post to him. This is a HOC microscope made in Japan. I'm not sure when it was made, but I'm guessing the '60s. I've seen similar, they all seemed to come in a wooden box and had a dissecting kit. The microscopes were usually better quality than "toyish" Gilbert, Porter, etc. examples. These were marketed for students and schools, not for younger kids. I had a cheaper one in the '60s, same deal with the wooden box, but the disecting kit was stored beside the microscope on a board and the slides were stored in a drawer. Around '66 I tossed the 'scope and used the box to carry my slot car/controller to the local track. I hope you enjoy this "Mr." Newfld.

    Thanks,
    Bill
