I always wanted a cuckoo clock and found this one at an estate sale for a very good price. It didn’t have the pinecone weights but the seller said I could find/buy replacements. It wasn’t til I got it home that I realized it also didn’t have a pendulum. Sigh. How can I determine what kind of weights and pendulum to purchase so the clock will function properly? BTW the clock still had the original seals, etc. indicating it had never been unpacked and in operation.

This is fairly new and appears to be the type clock sold to tourists in airport gift shops etc. In order to match up the cones and pendulum I would think you will need to open the back and get the information stamped on the clock works. That or take it to a clock repair shop and have them do it. Once you have the info there are plenty of spare clock parts and entire clocks cheap on eBay. I have one from the early 1950's that had one part on the outside damaged while moving. Still works but sits in a box. I think mine is a 7 day clock and has one pound cones.

Look at the movement inside the case. Is it one day or eight day ? Nneds smaller or larger weights. The movement should be marked with the pendulum length in centimetres. Replacements are available from clock parts dealers.
