I love this big pipe (16") store display. I had to turn it into a Magritte art display for my art studio.

But it says it is not a pipe.

Not one pipe, Fort. Meaning, not just any pipe, basically. Often word translation doesn't carry the local meaning. English is really loaded with examples. Don't forget that we are dealing with the French here. LOL ! Don't take me wrong, Some of my best friends are Frogs. LOL !!

BB2 je comprend maintenant. Same with Spanish as the insults I use do not have a 1:1 translation into English.

Fort, I know insults in languages that Bing never heard of ! LOL !! My French friends and I snipe at each other in jest all the time. Have to admit, I'm better ! I have often found myself changing languages in emails & have to proof read before sending. From my experience, English has more idioms than I find in other languages. French runs a close 2nd. Often when trying to say something funny using other basic languages, it comes out to be funnier than intended. Languages are fun ! I probably deal with 6-8 different non fluent English speakers per day. We each use what we know of the other's language to get by and that often ends in lots of laughs.
