Hello Jewelry Aficionados, Three thrifts are now open here, but only one has jewelry. I was told jewelry is too dangerous. Too close contact, etc. One thrift has had jewelry with plexiglass shields at the counter etc. Their jewelry has been exceptional! Here is a recent acquisition. The brooch dates from the late 1930s and looks like a knock-off of Trifari Empress Eugenie series. May have been made in response to the big M-G-M hit of Marie Antoinette. There is no Trifari patent and I can't find a Trifari reference to this design, so that's why I think it is a competitor. Very opulent. It measures 1 and 7/8 inches across and 3 and 1/8 inches tall.
Thanks for stopping by.
Love it, very pretty!
When I first spotted this, the first thing that came to mind was Trifari!
No matter, what an absolute regal piece! Beautiful condition for an 80 year old brooch.
I do believe it has fallen into the right hands, I love it Maureen! Especially the dangles, the perfect accent to this fabulous piece of jewelry history!
Eileen, Yes, that's what I thought too. Thanks for the love and comment. I love dangles on jewelry.

Maureen - love this, have to ask where are thrift stores open? I only know of one open here on June 21, Long Beach Antique swap meet - yay! But, I won't go. I would like to but don't have any $ to spend this month. Anything I share is from my stash LOL.
Super gorgeous deco piece, the drop pearls are fabulous & it has a true elegance that Marie Antoinette would have loved - a great find Maureen!
Maureen I'm amused you like a dangle, and impressed that your dangles are so opulent!

Jenni, I couldn't have said it better! Thanks for the love and comment.
racer4four, Lol, I am a fan of the movement and opulence of dangles. Glad you're amused and thanks for the love.
