my first GW find today thrift shopping since the stay at home, can't wait to see it glow.
Dynasty Gallery is focus on managing master pieces of the famous artists, such as Yayoi Kusama, Walasse Ting etc.; the other part is supporting excellent emerging young Asian artists. We hold 5-7 exhibitions each year, with the earnest of discovering talented rising star.
Dynasty Gallery Glass Jellyfish Sculpture, handcrafted from multiple layers of glass, Glows in the dark when exposed to light. Phosphorescent powders are fused with molten glass to give the finished design a "glow in the dark" feature. After exposure to light, the design will glow a bluish/green hue when in complete darkness. Because each piece is handcrafted, the duration and intensity of the glow varies.
Approximately 6.75" h x 3.70"w, 4.5 lbs.
Thanks Ms CrystalShip - good to hear you are back on CW- yes this was at the GW, I saw it before the stay at home order, and just lucky when the re-opened the doors it was still there. the glow in the dark effect works real well too.
Nice piece of glass! i saw quite a few like this at the high end gift shops in Big Sur back in the 80s. They were very expensive always!
