    got this etching at a yard sale 15 years ago it was at the bottom of a box i bought , there is damage at the bottom but it has stopped.. I have tried to look this up several times in the past and got know where .. i haven't been able to make out the artiest and the name of the subject , hopefully someone out there can help me identify the name ?.. thank you for any thoughts you may have .. it is a amazing etching!

      Try "Marc le Noir".
      It is from Lisbon in Portugal.
      95 Rua do Almada primeiro andar Lisboa.

      "Marc Le Noir foi retratista de figuras da alta burguesia e fotógrafo de arte com casa estabelecida na rua Nova do Almada, 95, 1º Esq. em Lisboa, que desapareceu no incêndio do Chiado em 1988. Existem fotografias do mesmo autor nos arquivos da Casa Museu de Monção e Câmara Municipal de Mafra. "

      wow thank you vetraio50 i also have the opposite side of the portrait, not sure its a photograph up close you can see pencil tip breaks .. thank you so much much for you information , i will try new searches now ..
