Similar to a fraternal society's emblem, but not Masonic. Grandfather was very involved in Church of Christ.

Not that it isn't a most spectacular black/white photograph otherwise becka831 -- but I'd sure love to see one or three more added to your showing here, maybe 'in color', so's to be able to get a better idea of how probably also beautiful that ring is, and/or if that's a jewel in its center, and/or any markings on it, and/or...?? :-)
