Special King of Mid Century Modern Charles Phoenix description, I know!
This is not just The 1959 Cadillac Convertible but The 1959 Cadillac ELDORADO Convertible. This was the Cadillac you bought when you made it and everyone else knew you made it too,
Now check out those lines, it is a rocket ship! I know. It is straight out of Buck Rogers with that rocket ship design. Check out those lines that go from the headlights to the tail lights. I know! It is a rocket.
Check out that front end right on the grill. It spells out C-A-D-I-L-L-A-C Cadillac to let you and everyone else know what you are driving.
Now check out those dual brake lights on those fins. I know. And those fins! Those are the fins when anyone is talking about fins and then those big round tail lights, like the exhaust end of a rocket. I know.
Now let's look under the hood. A 390 cubic inch engine with 345 horses. Oh I know. This will move you through Palm Springs in style.
This is a masterpiece of mid century modeling. I know!

Absolutely the most rocketish land boat ever made.

Cadillacs are the best cars that ever came off the line. My Mother drove nothing but. I remember a 1960 White Coupe de Ville with a black vinyl top and black leather interior. And it was so long! It had fins, but were more “sharp” than the 1959. She could parallel park that car within a couple inches to spare in front and back. She had an El Dorado. She switched once to an Audi, got rid of it fast and then came home with a 1970 Coupe, same color..white with black vinyl. That’s for sharing this post of one of America’s Iconic Cars. Brought back lots of great memories. ( when she updated the 1970, she gave it to my husband. He would polish the grill for hours! )

Thank you very much for the Cadillac of comments.
You can make a second comment and then I delete the first one by request which is the way we edit comments for now.
Got to love those fins and that grill!
