    Ms.Crystal…
    (114 items)

This is as close as I could come to a red, white, and blue piece. Ha!
Beautiful but common brooch by D & E. These came in ruby red, topaz, black, blue, green, milk glass, etc.
Several different designs. I had a lot of these in topaz, but decided for the Ruby Red. Much prettier...
    Circa- 1962. (not juliana)

Very fun! Love the gold filigree. Adds such a bit of whimsy and sass.
      Happy 4th!

Beautiful RedPlus D & E brooch, Eileen. Those amazing gold filigree balls were used by several jewelry makers, including Sherman and Coro in the 1960s. One problem identified by contemporary jewelry repair people, who are attempting to save ... rebuild vintage pieces, is that these filigree balls usually differed ever so micro-slightly from maker to maker — and, of course, an exact match is necessary.

Thank you for dropping by from “records” Thomas!
Ruby is a great birthstone, a precious stone whereas mine is semi- precious.
But I learned to love it...aquamarine!

Thank you Maureen. There are several different designs in so many colors. The red is the prettiest. Gonna “collect them all”! Ha!

Leanne, how are you dear? Yes, I have seen these little “balls” on other makers pieces, but I did not know Sherman used them. Interesting info, thank you! Waiting to see more of your fabulous collection...

And thank you for all the loves, dears!

I Think to myself that looking at the balls would grow on one. The ravishing red colour works so well, making the self worth evident !!
