Another super find on eBay AU, this Victorian vase by Welz is made from around 4 layers of cased glass. It is an intense & distinctive shade of bright yellow, & has a rounded, four sided form with a pattern of ribbing & daisy heads.
It measures 10.4 cm tall, 4.5 cm across the top rim, & 7.5 cm across the clear applied footed base.
This vase glows an amazing shade of orange under UV light due to the cadmium content.
Diminutive size, yet packs a real visual punch!

Thanks also, Karen! Yes, small can be very beautiful, especially for Welz vases. They are often real little cuties. And I am always ready to welcome small glass items into my collection, as I can fit them in easily. I love big imposing pieces too, but they tend to give me a buyer's hangover once I get them - what do I have to move, or get rid of, in order to accommodate them..?
