Bought these simple gaspeite (aka gaspite, gasperite) earrings 15 years ago at the famous Rockhound Roundup, New Mexico. They aren't dyed, found mainly in Canada (Gaspe peninsula) and Australia. The stone is now considered rare because mines are depleted.
Share chimed in and suggested the stone might be green turquoise from Carico Lake mine, Nevada. Looking closely I noted a milky agate in the stone. Thank you dear friend!

Thank you Lisa!
Ooooo pretty! These are pretty much exactly your favorite color ????
These are beautiful!
I love the “rope” borders!
Simple, elegant, classic!
Hey love, I think you are correct. Navajo made and I believe these stones are Carico Lake! Look up the mine. Carico stones are valueable!!! Gaspeite has a brighter green and no matrix.
Share - thanks again for directing me to research about Carico Lake green turquoise. I did a lot of online research and based on where I bought these - I agree. So many gorgeous stones out there. Every mine has a different color.
Thanks friends for your loves - Manikin, Kyra, Daisy, aura, cokeman, Eileen, dlpeterson, and Newtimes! I miss your posts Newtimes.

Elisabeth - thank you for your nice comment. Now I need to find a ring....
