    Anyone know what this was used for seems as though it was used for slides of some kind and projects on the wall age and who would have used this would be greatly appreciated

      Looks like the projectors we had in school. Put the slide in and the image was shown on the wall or big white bed sheet tacked to the wall.

      Ours were called opaque projectors I'm sure. research that

      This is a small projector has clear slides that I clamp in to it almost seems like a microscope slide

      and when you put a specimen on it, let it dry and you can show the entire class at once in an enlarged form.
