I found a post from seven years ago that talks about this replica coin with a T stamped in it. I inherited a large coin collection and found this post and really the only one who talked about it. I just got a scale and also a micrometer to make any measurements needed. I have since gone through the collection and also purchased a red book. I have found some quite expensive coins in there. But this one was kinda cool and unique. I have since determined that it is not a true coin but I would like to know the “story” with it.

Was hoping you would post this. Now we can start the coin war again. Let the games begin !!

Yeah I read that other post. I am not trying to get into a war. But to be honest his post was the only one I could find on google about it. I’m not asking if it is real. I was only acknowledging I found one in my grandfathers collection. Why he had it?? I have no clue. I just think for him being so much into coins he wouldn’t have kept it unless it might have been worth something. I have a few pennies that I have posted on Coin Opp on FB that are pretty valuable as well. But I am trying to learn. Not prove it is worth anything or not. Lol

And he never posted a picture of the back either. Which is the tell tale sign of under the hat there is no other side of the hat and at the bottom it looks like a bow is missing.

Not to worry. I don't think there will be a CW war over it. Maybe a bit of a riot. Somebody must know the story behind them. It doesn't look like silver.

Well I guess it only took seven years for someone to post the back of it. Lol :-)

That will probably double the controversy.

I also have this coin my mother has had it for over 50 years since she was 12 years old I’ve been trying to find info on it because I have come to learn the ones with the “T” are also very rare but still waiting to see what the value is in it? If anyone knows any info please let me know and thank you in advance

I’ve seen mostly that it is a token. But if it was just that I would think kore of them would be around. So far you are the third. Can you post pics of it as well?? You will have to start a new post to add pics though.
