Bought this original Gargoyle lollipop sign over a year ago with out the heavy base. The porcelain sign is in excellent condition with one small chip. The colors are vivid and a good gloss on the porcelain.
Well I just found a original gargoyle base that goes with it. My question is should the base be red or black. Not sure and if anyone has a answer please chime in. Thanks.

Trey. Yes I was lucky to find the exact base at the longest garage sale. No shipping involved and the price was right . The Re -threaded pipe fit it just right. Now I just need to finish the base. I’ve seen red bases and black bases. Red poles and black poles. This one had a red pole and metal around the sign. I guess they can be both colors. Just not sure. Thanks for the reply.
Last picture taken today 9/14 went with red for the base. It’s no big deal.

Vynil33rpm ...how did you know I love the Honeymooners show. Used to watch them as a kid. Couple of years ago I sold a Honeymooners tin bus that was very collectible. I’ll bring the post back up for you to see.
