Welcome to my estate cameo collection! I like to say that I became interested in cameos about five years ago, though “obsessed with” would be more honest. I purchased some, some were gifts, and all have special stories attached to them. While I love the examples pictured here, this collection is always growing, and I look forward to sharing future additions. Thank you for looking!

What a fabulous cameo collection, you have some real beauties, I esp love the habille (pendant) type and that large square cut on lower rt. side which is like the one my great grandmother had

You're welcome FromTheVanity, I do have my family cameo but since moving it's still packed away somewhere (I've seen it but of course forgot exactly where). It was bought for my great GM by her husband when they married in the 1920s, an Italian shell habille cameo which has the white gold filigree frame like your large square one, but the lady resembles your habille one right next to that one with the diamond habille necklace. I received it as a gift from her daughter (my GM) when I was a teenager as I was the only girl, it's always been very precious to me. Think of the history behind all of yours, they are amazing!
Newfld, how wonderful that you are able to trace an antique’s origins right back to its roots! That is quite special and rare, and, if you are able to locate it in the future, I’d love to see! Thank you for sharing. It was nice to travel along the journey with you for a moment. :)
Wow great grouping of cameo, I have too, some I like more, top left the small Filigree box with the small cameo and The Harp player are my preferred, but like to be honest, they all Gorgeous.

I don't usually stray out of the Cameos S&T, so only seeing your pretty collection now. Probably you know that one is Pliny's Doves & another is Raphael's Madonna della Sedia/Seggiola. You may not know that the one above the harp player, to the left of the habille piece, is the Sixth Hour of the Day, from a series known as Raphael's Hours of the Day & Night. She holds a bat on her hand & is the last Hour of the Day.
Stunning fabulous collection. For me the scenic and florals are my favorites, but the other beauties are fantastic, too. Looking forward to seeing more as your collection evolves.
