Trying to figure out the year of this sewing machine. Comes in original wood casing...... works perfectly. Any info would help.

Model 69 from 1922. It has an interesting cabinet. Get some restor-a-finish of the proper color to fix up the top.

A small correction and some back fill elaboration as I work my way through all of the CW S&T vintage sewing machine posts.

fortapache, I figure you just had a slip of the finger here, because I know that you know a Singer Red Eye model 66 when you see it. :-)

I'm just correcting and backfilling, because you never know when some poor soul searching for vintage sewing machine information will stumble on this and take what they find as gospel. Not that my own comments are error-free. *ahem*

Serial number G9286417 was one of a block of 50,000 consecutive serial numbers ([G]9238601 through [G]9288600) allotted by the central office February 28, 1922 to one of Singer's factories (in this case, Elizabethport) and all were destined to be stamped into the beds of model 66 machines.

They probably all rolled off the assembly line by the allotment date of the next block of G prefix serial numbers destined for model 66 machines (May 16, 1922):

A manual for a treadle-operated model 66 (this one is for the back-clamping presser foot version, but that only matters if you're trying to switch presser feet):
