I know what you thinking...another star brooch. That’s what I thought at first. Then I looked a little closer....
I have never seen this piece for sale “in the wild”. EVER! I was bored one day, scrolling on a favorite website, and as I was going along I “hearted” the pieces I would think about. When I went back to this piece, I took a closer look, NO, NO WAY! I looked at the photo of the back, and nearly flipped. To be sure, I went to Karla’s Wacker’s website, “ Is It Juliana Jewelry?”, counted the stones, and confirmed it! I had found D & E’s STARFISH from their sea life collection! The one on Karla Wacker’s website, is orange. This beauty is full of color, 2 inches of two hues of purple, red, & fuchsia! See the figure 8’s on the tips? That confirms it! Now I have 3 out of 6 sea life figurals. I see the lobster & seahorse once in a while, but waiting on the right colors. I might be waiting an awful long time....
ENJOY!
Oh wow ! I love all these so much :-) What a fabulous collection you have !
Very nice ,, seems you have pins and brooches to match everything
P.S. this is about a comment you made about the Cheshire cat
And your grandkids see if you can find a copy of Snow White and the seven dwarfs the original Disney beautiful artwork also Fantasia get them hooked on classical
( Igor Stravinsky‘s right of Spring ,, Mickey Mouse is the sorcerers apprentice )
All so amazing! The starfish seems to be moving. Nice trio. Can you share the link to Karla's website. Thanks for sharing.
Sorry Mary..it’s been talked about a lot lately on this forum. “Is it Juliana Jewelry?” run by Karla Wacker, co-author of Juliana Jewelry... The Last Generation. She also helped Ann Pitman with Juliana Jewelry ...Price & Reference Guide.. the holy grail to us D & E collectors! Ha!
She has a shop on RL, I have bought pieces from her in the past...nice lady!
And you’re right! His “legs” look to be swaying in the water! What an eye you have!
I'm so happy for you! What a gorgeous brooch, and the trio is stunning.
When I blew up the photos I was in awe of these D&E.
Maybe your luck will continue Eileen.
What a fun and cheerful aquatic trio! Love the design of each. Best wishes, with finding the other three, Eileen.
Wow what a fantastic color! Love the movement in that as well. Wonderful.

Mani, you always have the sweetest comments on my posts! My collection is modest, but I so appreciate your kindness!
Vynil..off topic, but who cares. My Grandsons are my world, we have so much fun together. I have nearly all the classics, just watched Sleeping Beauty with my youngest (4),( he didn’t seem to care for that one, but then he’s all boy!) Also watched Bambi ( sob!) Thanks for the love and the laughs ( your posts!)
Mary, as you can see, I have added the info. Yesterday was so much fun, you deserved it, my dear friend!
Karen, you are so kind! These figurals are not that easy to find, the crab was a first for me, as was the Starfish. The Angelfish I have seen one other time. Remember Balsonlake? She found the Angelfish at a thrift for $7! If only...Ha!
Leah, I’ll take those wishes! Ha! These are really tough to find in the colors I want. But I’m patient, just keep looking...you are so sweet, my friend, Thank you!
Elisabeth, Mary is the one that caught the “motion”! At first, I thought it looked kinda crooked, it was Mary who set me straight. And yes! The colors, which D & E were never afraid of. Only other Starfish I’ve seen is orange. Now I love orange jewelry, but I think these colors are glorious too! Thank you!
This is one piece you really have to drink in the colour, garish but in a beautiful way, the colourway is something that seems to be for a holiday such as Christmas or New Years Eve, congrats on finding this piece !~
Thanks Phil, it was definitely a fluke that I even found this one! Like I stated this piece is never out there to find, after all these years and then, there it was!
Garish? I have to agree a lot of D & E pieces are very colorful to the point of gaudy, but that is one of their attributes I love. They were not afraid to combine colors! Thank you for loving my newest addition to my Sea-life Collection! I’m halfway there!
So happy you stopped by to love my very rare starfish...

It took years to “catch” her....
Fantastic colors!
Thank you Clockerman! So very kind of you to say, “she” is a rarity!
So Beautiful!! I love 'em all!!
Thank you Scott, this one took years to find, and then I just came across it and didn’t even realize what I had for a moment, but only for a moment! Ha!
Stunning! Congratulations on your fantastic find!
Thank you rhineisfine! I could hardly believe it when I spotted this piece, and it was on sale! One thing about collecting D & E is there is no signature ( eh, who needs one) and some don’t have a clue to what they are posting. It even took me a minute to realize it was the long lost Starfish! Did you see my gorgeous green Lobster my dear Daughter surprised me with? Now I have two to go to finish the collection! Yay!
