Picked up this little seated grandma figurine last week and realized that she must have had a needle in one hand but what was in her other hand? Each hand has a hole to hold something. The chair is made of wood and has an uncomfortable original nail that she sits on. The chair has a gold crushed velvet cover. There is a mark in gold under her skirt but I can’t make it out. The figurine and chair measures 4 1/2” tall by 2” across. Where and when was she made, and what is supposed to be in her hands. You don’t usually see figurines with tiny metal spectacles.

Thanks Watchsearcher......I thought it might have been more complicated like darning a sock or something...so all it needs is two needles..great!

My grandmother had one exactly the same with the needles.
