Vase by Hisatoshi Iwata in a style I find really attractive with what seems to be broad brush strokes of colour through the glass.
The coloured layer is from a great aqua blue with what appears to be black glass lines which are actually a rich navy blue. The attractive thing is the edges of the lines clearly show the dark blue and the result is as if an artist has run a paint loaded brush around the vessel.
The lines are random but balanced, and the ribbed shape of the outer clear case makes the lines even more alive.

It's a pretty cool piece of glass and like much Japanese glass is sizable.

It is like someone just added the dark blue liquid before it mixes in, and you keep the excitement fresh as if the moment stays, superb !~

Hey thanks Jenni, as usual, a generous comment. It is an uncommon one for Iwata.

Thanks Harry! It's interesting that this slightly loose decor is from Hisatoshi, it was more of a Toshichi thing.

I am not sure how he kept the liquid look of that blue Phil, but it is fresh and alive!
      Thanks mate.
