Here is a 4"H golden brown glass mother bear and her two cubs, a 1970s Paul Hoff World Wildlife Fund design for Kosta Boda, with the name ursus arctos for brown bear classification on bottom

Gorgeous toning of the bear gives reality a push here, what a find !~
I love her- her head is almost see through looking which reminds me of a polar bear actually? You often see bears in clear glass but this is a lovely light coloured brown AND she's got neck ruffles! Ver protective over her little ones I think :P

Phil thank you so much for the wonderful praise, yes the pale to darker brown tones of this bear piece are really cool and I think an enhancement, I'm glad the baby bears' colors are more intense so you can make out their cute faces. This line of WWF glass animals for Kosta Boda had only a handful of mamas with their offspring, they are hard to find so I was excited to get this piece which was sent from Sweden

Thanks Lauren for your super compliments & observ about the polar bear similarity, I truly thought so too especially with its latin name ursus arctos (arctic for polar, makes sense right) but going to wiki that is the name for brown bears including the grizzly variety, and being brown colored it's nice they kept it natural. The neck ruffling is very realistic too, & love those babies' heads poking out :)) Kosta Boda also made a WWF glass polar bear which is huge & has an opalescent white-blue color, I've only ever seen images of it online but would love to find that one someday
