      Lots of the shades (that came with these kinda lamps back then anyway) were also made of some early form of fiberglass. (or woven plastic fiber, or whatever it really was) No matter -- it is a SPECTACULAR example of an AWESOME MCM design, no matter who made it I'd welcome it into my home in half a hearbeat!!!
