This Chinese porcelain plate, diam. 22.5 cm, is by experts believed to be from the early reign of Yongzheng, that is around 1723. But what I can't figure out is what kind of animal one of the ladies is holding at the end of the leash ? Do you know ?
Is it a bird cage or a latern the man is holding?
Only see two legs so the only thing that comes to mind is a monkey of some sort or another.

well it looks like a good expert,he discovered the kangxi influences in the piece
actually there is no early or late yonzheng
but if your expert finds this an early yongzheng piece , ask him why they decorated the rim bianco sopra bianco ( the rim not the whole piece !)

If not early Yongzheng, then what is it ?
it just Yongzheng ! the timespan is just 12 years,forget it it does not matter its a good plate , its getting too complicated, your expert did an excellent job

i am not a bird expert , so i probably talk bs or hearsay
actually most birds scenes (non monocolore ! ) are coming in probably in the Yongzheng period , the famous quail scenes ( very expensive see auctionet Sweden )
you got scenes of stray birds- peacocks and quails ( thats called liulang)
you got them jià ni=?on perches
and- ti long ( bird walking in cages , for bragging rights)
the whole cultivation of the birds hype are coming from Héngfú rén, the noble banner swayers i believe
actually cage swayers were highly respected because good songtrushes were expensive because its was of significance for the social status
the cage is probably not big enough for , and peacocks are peacocks liulang
so the bird is probably a - huamei or a lark or songtrush
ps as you see most yongzheng plates , you mostly see straybirds , because the hype about this kind of plates is from 1640 on , (transitional)
