I have been looking for info on this stoneware
milk can for a long time....no marks has faint
Larg crackles in glase.. anyone know tips on research for this vintage piece?

Can you add a picture of the base, even if unmarked.
The crackling you describe is called “crazing”. It’s not an indicator of age as it can be done deliberately, occur right after removing the item from the kiln, or later due to rapid temperature change. It’s caused by a difference in expansion rates between the glaze and clay.
My guess is the intended use was as a floor vase or umbrella stand - either term might help in your search.

Decades ago when I enjoyed the ceramic-making hobby, there was a “crackle glaze” that could be applied to get this effect. To enhance the “old” look and emphasize the cracks, after the item with that glaze was fired, crafters would wipe the item with a cloth moistened with a darker color stain. Then, after another wipe-down with a clean dry cloth, that darker stain only remained in the cracks.....instantly “aged”. I think that’s the case with your item...not as old as it looks.
