Venus from Milo

One of the most copied statues from Antiquity is Alexandros from Antiokia's marble Venus from ca. 100 BC, found on Greek island Milo in 1820. With arms and plinth. The arms were lost on transport from excavation site to the ship. The plinth was lost later. Now exhibited in Louvre. It has been suggested that something must have been wrong with the lady's spine. Maybe the doctors among you have an explanation. I bought this 28.5 cm high plaster(?) copy in a 'life style accessories store' in Copenhagen and did the paintwork myself, following the tradition in Antiquity to paint statues to make them life like.
