This is a reissue of the GI Joe Space Capsule of the 1960s. It is actually an improved version as it is more realistic. It has the colors of the olr5iginal Mercury space capsule with some of the wear from reentry. Also the heat shield is textured like the actual capsule (see figure 4). The original was solid gray with a clear opening cover. The cover on this is designed to look like the original with a small window on each side. Not sure how helpful those were but you could get a great view of Earth.
Also included is a GI Joe version of John Glenn. GI Joe body with a John Glenn head.
Just for those at home who may not know John Glenn was the first US astronaut to circle the Earth.
